Lawrenceburg

Southeast Indiana Area

Along the Ohio River at a scenic bend is Lawrenceburg, the county seat for Dearborn County. The city was founded in 1802 and now has 5,000 residents.

The rich heritage of steamboat shipping led to the development of the city's famous Gamblers' Row, which now is further enhanced as the home port of Hollywood Casino and Hotel. As the world's most popular riverboat drawing nearly 8 million visitors a year, it has helped add to the city's newest nickname-"Casino City".
