Wilder

Northern Kentucky Area

Wilder, a smaller, contiguous, primarily residential city in Campbell County, is just off I-471 and I-275. It is located about two miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio. The area was incorporated in 1935 by mostly employees of the Andrews Streel Company. The city now has 3,000 residents.

Wilder was the first settlement in Campbell County. Once known as Leitch’s Station, Wilder was named after Covington doctor, William Hamlin Wilder. The city’s Licking River frontage is home to the Northern Kentucky Port Authority.

Wilder’s recent growth has been due to the popularity of condominium communities as well as upscale single family homes with Cincinnati skyline views. One finds homes of all sizes, prices and styles in the area.
