Trenton Fire Department provides fire and EMS service to residents. There are several hospitals in the area: Fort Hamilton, Mercy Health Fairfield and UC Health West Chester.

Trenton Sportsmen’s Club Lake provide nearby sites for sport fishermen. Walnut Grove Swim Club is a busy summer destination and features a large pool for local membership. The Great Miami River Recreation Trail multi-use pathway is a busy part of active residents lives. 

Trenton features three parks: Trenton Community Park with a play area, picnic spots, hiking trails and is the site of many community-hosted events. Chrisholm MetroPark Farmstead features a playscape, picnic area as well as the historic Ausburger family home. The Ausburgers were leading members of the area's Amish-Menonite settlement.  Woodsdale Regional Park provides scenic hiking trails and picnic areas to enjoy. Nearby Sebald Park has fishing, hiking/biking/run trails, horseback riding as well as picnic and play areas. People go there to enjoy the wildlife.

There’s more than enough shopping to meet residents needs in Trenton, especially in the busy downtown including a library and post office. Bark-N-Bunk is a unique and popular farm market with a deli, various vendors and a Sunday lunch buffet.  More shopping opportunities are available in nearby Hamilton or Middletown.

Trenton sits in northeastern Butler County about 20 miles north of Cincinnati. Its nickname is the ‘small town with a big heart’. With its roots as a farming village, Trenton was founded in 1799 by Michael Pearce. One of the first buildings was a hotel that offered a night’s rest to travelers going from the then state capital in Chillicothe to Miami University and points west. The Toll House still stands as a symbol of the city’s early history. Growth was slow in the village and it was not until 1971 that the population had reached the required 5,000 to be classified as a city. Over the past six years, Trenton has experienced a marked increase in new residential construction. A MillerCoors Brewery is located in Trenton and is an industry that has been growing in the region. This brewery is proud to state it has not sent any garbage to a landfill since 2009 and partners with local farmers to use 500 of its acres.

A bustling St. Rt. 73 provides the major access route through the city, connecting to nearby cities of Middletown and Hamilton.  There are shuttles available to and from Middletown/Oxford.

Kettering Medical Center - Middletown is located on SR 122 southeast of I-75 and provides 24/7 emergency care as well as other medical services. Atrium Hospital and a branch of Dayton’s Children’s Hospital are located off of I-75. In nearby Hamilton, Fort Hamilton Hospital, TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital and Mercy Health - Fairfield (the only hospital in Butler County to offer open heart surgery) serve area residents.

Middletown was designated as an All-American City in the late 1950s and is home to several large industries including paper manufacturing and aerospace technology. The city is located in both Butler and Warren counties.

There are 27 parks throughout the city for casual enjoyment, sports and recreation. The Meadow Ridge area of Elk Creek MetroPark has miles of trails to walk and enjoy. River Center at Bicentennial Commons is a great place to rest along the Great Miami River Trail. Smith Park features 96 acres as well as baseball diamonds, fishing pond, a skatepark, trails and picnic areas. Armco Park in Turtlecreek Township (Lebanon) features 311 acres with softball fields, a fishing and boating lake, picnic areas as well as an 18-hole golf course. Take a swing at The Golf Center, a course 15 minutes away designed by Jack Nicklaus. Shaker Run Golf Course is located nearby in Lebanon and features a 27-hole championship course. Additionally, several state parks are within easy driving distance, including Hueston Woods, Caesar’s Creek and Germantown Dam, and are great stops for boating, fishing and water-skiing. The Middletown YMCA offers many health and fitness opportunities. If you dare, enjoy  sky diving at the Hook Field airport with Start Sky Diving. For those who enjoy gambling, Miami Valley Gaming casino is conveniently located in nearby Monroe. 

Middletown’s history can be easily viewed by visiting the Canal Museum. Publications, relics and an extensive collection of artistic illustrations trace the cultural and economic growth of Middletown. An artist and lecture series is sponsored and held at the Miami University Middletown Campus. Residents enjoy even more arts at the Middletown Fine Arts Center, Sorg Opera Company and Middletown Lyric Theatre. The Pendleton Arts Center in Middletown offers art exhibits and events throughout the year. The Middletown Cincinnati State’s campus provides a learning environment for students as well as a Workforce Development Center for customized job training services and programs for the public. 

There are several festivals to enjoy every year: The Ohio Challenge Balloon Festival (hot air balloons) is held in July. Light Up Middletown (a drive-through light display) is scheduled in December. The Middletown Arts Festival host community events from May through September with exhibits, workshops and other events.

Historic South Main Street offers eclectic shopping opportunities in a scenic downtown with many events planned throughout the year. From an old-fashioned ice cream social to a cruise-in, to an Italian fest, residents enjoy supporting downtown businesses and its sense of an urban community. There are some popular eateries and pubs to enjoy there. Numerous strip malls, both chains and fast food restaurants line the highway access to the downtown. Local merchants fill the needs of residents with convenient shopping in many neighborhoods. For the bargain enthusiast, Cincinnati Premium Outlet, with over 100 stores, is a short drive away. For those who love donuts, Middletown is part of the Butler County Donut Trail with two places to find such a treat: Milton's Donuts and Central Pastry Shop.

Incorporated in 1833, Middletown is home to approximately 50,000 people living within its corporate limits and another 50,000 in the surrounding area. Located conveniently between Cincinnati and Dayton on the Great Miami River, Middletown boasts a wealth of history, culture, and natural splendor. It’s a place where 150-year-old mansions, small ranch homes, duplexes and apartments sit side-by-side with beautiful landscaped parks.

Middletown is located in Butler County on I-75 midway between Cincinnati and Dayton. Hook Field is a small municipal airport and is used for general aviation. Air travelers use either the Dayton International Airport or the Greater Cincinnati International Airport.

Fort Hamilton Hospital (part Kettering Health Network) has over 300 beds and offers neonatal and oncology services. TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital and Mercy Health - Fairfield (the only hospital in Butler County to offer open heart surgery) serve Hamilton’s residents. Children’s Hospital Liberty Campus is located in Liberty Township. The Hamilton Health Center provides offices for primary care physicians. The city is served by the Butler County Health Department. The fire department provides emergency ambulance service. Private ambulance service is also available.

The city of Hamilton is located along the Great Miami River and is the county seat for Butler County and has 63,000 residents. It was founded in 1791 as Fort Hamilton (in honor of Alexander Hamilton). By the 1800s, the fort was gone and the area’s focus was on agriculture and trade. By the 1850s, Hamilton was a city focused on manufacturing. It’s county courthouse (built in the late 1800s) is listed on the National Register of Historic Places due to its monument-style architecture. One finds three historic districts in Hamilton which boasts homes from the turn of the 19th century. In 1986, the city changed its name to “Hamilton!” The city has been honored several awards includes a Silver Excellence in Economic Development.

There are five Butler County parks within 15 miles of Hamilton offering picnic and play facilities comprising 1,100 plus acres supervised by the park department. Rentchler Forest MetroPark and the Line Hill Mound connect to the Great Miami River Trail.  This trail is popular among cyclists, walkers, runners and for those exercising their pets. 

The City of Hamilton has four outdoor splash parks and one indoor swimming pool, one private swim and tennis club. There are two municipal 18-hole golf courses (Twin Run Golf Course and Potters Golf Course). The city has 31 tennis courts, indoor-outdoor tennis club, and an outdoor sports arena. There are many supervised city playgrounds. Boating and water skiing are available on the Great Miami River.  Hamilton residents enjoy numerous bike paths and walking trails. Marcum Park is located on Main Street and has lots of green space to enjoy. 

Sixteen miles northwest of Hamilton lies Hueston Woods State Park, with 600-acre Acton Lake, offering complete recreation, camping facilities, lodge and cabins. The Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park offers a unique outdoor display of 30 pieces of sculpture in a natural setting. Recreational sports include Little League, Youth Football, Soccer, and Softball. 

RiversEdge Amphitheater is located on the riverfront between downtown and the German Village Historic District. The development includes a park, trail and is a popular place for summer concerts. The Booker T. Washington Community Center has 13 acres of parkland with a baseball field, basketball court, tennis, playground and shelter house. Inside the center, residents enjoy using the meeting rooms, game room, gym and indoor swimming pool. 

Plans are in place for the Spooky Nook mega sports complex at the former site of the Champion Paper Mill. When completed, it will be one of the largest sports facilities in the U.S. and will include a hotel and convention center. 

For those into the arts, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts offers many classes and exhibits. The Fairfield Symphony Orchestra provides musical enjoyment. The Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park features outdoor art. Miami University’s Hamilton campus features a public conservatory with many exotic plants to enjoy. The historic Robinson-Schwenn Building on campus is a multi-use center and hosts live music, lectures, art displays and theatrical performances. RiversEdge is located in the downtown area and hosts free outdoor concerts while you view the Great Miami River.

The principal shopping areas of Hamilton include: downtown, the west side and Lindenwald. The primary shopping centers are Hamilton Plaza, Town and Country, Twinbrook Hills and Hamilton West. Bridgewater Falls off Princeton Road in Fairfield Township is a 30-minute drive and has 30 shopping destinations as well as restaurants. Northgate Mall is also within 30-minutes driving time.

One person renovated three row houses in the downtown area and a whole new trend began. Restoration fever has come to Hamilton and there is a resurgence of community involvement. Even the local government has joined the movement by adding brick sidewalks and street lights that look like old-fashioned gas lamps. Those with an enterprising spirit will find a splendid variety of building designs in this city with a small- town feeling. There are fine old row houses and grand mansions in the historic Highland Park district which covers two blocks and eight streets. Find a combination of small houses and mansions in the German Village Historic District with many fine examples of 19th century architecture including Queen Anne, Italianate, Eastlake and Gothic Revival. Some neighborhoods have grand old homes on streets that are divided by a tree-lined median. With big city amenities and small-town charm, Hamilton continues to retain the character of the city’s past while sharpening its focus on a bright future. Reflecting the community’s commitment to the arts is the array of sculptures decorating the downtown. Designated as “The City of Sculpture” Hamilton is home to a brilliant inventory of art and sculpture.

The City of Hamilton is ideally situated for easy access to a network of interstate highways - I-275, I-75, I-71 and U.S. 127. Highway 129 is a direct link to Hamilton from I-75. Ohio Routes 4, 128, 129 and 177 are also in close proximity. Hamilton has an efficient rail and truck service. City bus lines provide intra-city service as well as routes to Cincinnati, Dayton and Middletown. The City of Hamilton has its own all-weather airport with air taxi to and from Cincinnati and Dayton municipal airports.

The Blanchester/Marion Twp. Joint Fire District serves the village and surrounding region. The nearest hospitals are Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington 16 miles away, or Clermont Mercy 19 miles away in Batavia provide emergency, obstetrics and both inpatient and outpatient care. Cincinnati’s main hospitals including Christ, Good Samaritan, Children’s Hospital Medical Center and University hospitals are within 45-60 minutes by car.

The Village of Blanchester was settled by Joseph and John Blancett in 1832. The community is 7.6 square miles with 4,000 residents. Clarence “Bud” Brown who served in the US House of Representatives and as a Secretary of Commerce in the 1980s is from this community.

Just over 1000 acres, nearby Cowan Lake State Park offers a peaceful setting replete with scenic inlets laden with the American Lotus water lily. Swimming, fishing, sailing and canoeing are popular on the lake and draw recreation lovers from the entire county. Hiking trails encourages wandering through the park’s mature woodlands. The park offers some of the finest fossil hunting areas in the world because of its location near the Cincinnati Arch, an uplifting of bedrock that occurred during the Appalachian Mountains' building process. Hikers and birders will enjoy the white swamp forest at the Culberson State Nature Preserve nearby. There are many youth sports programs through the local school system available for baseball, football, soccer, tennis, basketball, to name a few.

Blanchester is the destination for shoppers in the southern half of the county. Collectors and antique hunters come to browse both at the antique malls and shops spread through the historic downtown. Several groceries and hardware stores meet the needs of homeowners; for a major shopping mall you’ll have to jump in the car for a drive either to Wilmington, or Eastgate Mall. Connoisseurs find their way to Bellavance Organic Farm known regionally for its organically grown food and flowers.

“A small town with a big” heart, Blanchester is a community of homes in a wide variety of price ranges and home styles. One finds older homes as well as newly constructed residences. The village is located along the Warren/Clinton County line. It is Clinton County’s second largest village. Fertile and flat could be the nickname for the farmland that surrounds the village, with livestock and farming the primary occupations. The historic downtown houses the shopping, restaurants and activities that are the destination for Clinton’s southwestern residents. An active Chamber of Commerce sponsors community events throughout the year including an annual Fourth of July celebration.

Blanchester

51 miles northeast of Cincinnati, Blanchester’s primary transportation routes are St. Rt. 28, and 133.  Nearby commuter airports are Red Stewart Airfield in Waynesville 17 miles away, Clinton Field in Wilmington 19 miles away, and Cincinnati Lunken Airport. Greater Cincinnati International Airport is just an hour away.

Will-o-Bob Lake, Bear Pond, Doughman Lake and Trenton Sportsmen’s Club Lake provide nearby sites for sport fishermen. Because the township is largely rural, many residents own and ride horses. Northwest of the township lies Hueston Woods State Park, with 600-acre Acton Lake, offering complete recreation, camping facilities, lodge and cabins. The Great Miami River attracts boaters from throughout the region; birders find its shallows perfect spots for bird watching along a migratory path south.

Most residents shop in either nearby Trenton or Hamilton, with larger shopping malls located about 30 minutes away.

Wayne Township is located in north central Butler County, between Oxford and Trenton, and includes the towns of Jacksonburg (Ohio’s smallest village with a population of 50) and Seven Mile. At 36 square miles, nearly 90% of the rolling hills of the township are used for farming. The township was named for General Anthony Wayne.
