The area was first known for its key road – Springfield Pike – also known as the “Great Road” which transported settlers to their new farms. In 1839 Springdale became a village and in 1971 was known as the City of Springdale. There’s been a sense of progress in the air in Springdale for its residents and businesses throughout the years.

You’ll find neighborhoods of older and newly built homes in Springdale. The 2019 Citirama home show took place at the Springrose subdivision – a 50-lot community. Springdale residents are proud of their fine city infrastructure services. Many well-known companies call Springdale home including Macy’s Corporate Services, Humana, the Kroger Company, Proctor and Gamble and General Electric Engine Services, to name a few. Plans have been carefully worked out to see that industrial and residential growth has been orderly.
