Leesburg

Founded in 1802, Leesburg is the oldest town in Fairfield Township. The earliest village settlers were Quakers known now as members of the Society of Friends. Leesburg was known in its early days for its wool and flour mills. It was once a busy train stop on one of the many scenic by-ways to be discovered in Southern Ohio. Today Leesburg is a village of about 1250 people.
