4200 residents call this small community 14 miles northwest of Dayton in Miami County home, and are proud of its small town atmosphere. The rolling hills, Stillwater River, and rich farmland of the West Milton area were big attractions for early settlers and residents today. Early residents were especially fond of the Cascades local water fall. Outdoor recreation remains one of the primary reasons new residents chose this lovely area. Housing is typical of many older towns, with some new construction available.

West Milton is at the intersection of St. Rt. 571 and St. Rt. 48 and eight minutes away from I-70 and I-75.

Supporting the rich history of the area, residents find the Union Township Museum contains historical, and genealogical information for West Milton and the surrounding area - especially Quaker history. That role in the town's development is celebrated every year in October with the Quaker Heritage Festival. There are traditional craft demonstrations and a parade. A mountain man encampment brings back the sights and smells of days gone by. West Milton's Lookout Park, with its grass-covered hillside, is the perfect place to spend some time. West Milton has two municipal parks; the athletic facilities are located at the Lowry Complex on the west site of town. The Brukner Nature Center is only minutes away, and parks and nature areas operated by the county are also close by. Stillwater Ridge public golf course is an 18-hole range for golf enthusiasts.
