Bainbridge

The village of Bainbridge is located in Ross County, Ohio along Paint Creek and was established by General Nathaniel Massie. The village was named for Commodore William Bainbridge who served in the Battle of 1812. Bainbridge is known as the site of the first dental school in the world that was established by Dr. John M. Harris in 1828. The school is now a museum.

The village has 2,100 residents. Small, mid-sized and large homes are found in this area from older cottages to newly built two-story residences. There are many farm-style residences on acreage in this area.
