Established in 1891 by Matthew Addy, the village of Addyston is located 10 miles west of downtown Cincinnati along the beautiful banks of the Ohio River. It was built by the Ohio Pipe Foundry for its employees and is now on the National Register of Historic Places. There is no home delivery of mail in Addyston as all 1,000 residents are required to pick up mail directly from the Post Office on Main Street.

It is a picturesque community has approximately 1,000 residents. Known for its unique architecture, Addyston is on the National Register of Historic Places. About 75% of the village is comprised of the original buildings.
