As one of Cincinnati’s inner-ring bedroom communities, Dillonvale and its nearby neighbor Kenwood, experienced explosive growth after World War II. Hamilton County residents looking for a place to call home liked the area’s gently rolling hills and shady sites and moved here by the hundreds forming a close-knit community.
Tucked between Amberley Village and Deer Park in the unincorporated area of Sycamore Township is Dillonvale. 3700 inhabitants have chosen this quiet residential area that offers all the advantages of affordable suburban living with access to urban entertainment and activities. Although many residents have deep roots in the community, with its easy commute to the rest of the county the area is attracts new homeowners.
Transportation
Dillonvale is served by Queen City Metro buses. Because of its location situated between two major highways (I-71 & I-75), and with the Ronald Reagan Cross County Highway, residents have a quick access to far-reaching areas of Hamilton County within minutes. Driving time to downtown Cincinnati is 15 minutes.
Hospitals
Sycamore Township Fire and EMS serve Dillonvale residents. 'Jewish Hospital Kenwood' is also located within 5 minutes drive time and is located in Sycamore Township. This hospital features a state-of-the-art patient tower as well as a 24-hour emergency department. It also offers the region’s only adult Blood & Marrow Transplant Center. 'Bethesda North Hospital' – a Level III Trauma Center – is a 10-minute drive away, with well-used emergency room facilities.
Other Cincinnati area hospitals, such as The Christ Hospital, Good Samaritan Hospital, University Hospital and the Children’s Hospital Medical Center are located within a 25-minute drive.
Shopping
Residents have great access to shopping with the newly renovated Dillonvale Shopping Center. Located just minutes away is Cincinnati’s premier shopping destination – Kenwood Towne Centre.
Recreation
Because of its easy interstate access, you can reach all of Cincinnati’s major attractions within minutes. Nearby Sharon Woods Park affords an 18-hole public golf course, a lake, vast picnic areas and abundant nature trails.
