Union

Greater Dayton Area

Just 20 minutes northwest of downtown in rural Montgomery County, the 6,400 residents of the city of Union's four square miles are just trying to keep pace with their developing community. Named Union in 1816 by local miller Daniel Razor, the city has come a long way since the days of log cabins when Main Street was a dusty road. Union is exploding in new housing developments with large wooded lots and exciting homes at middle and upper price ranges. Homes are beautiful examples of today's architectural brilliance, gathered together in warm, friendly communities. Residents insist on plenty of greenspace to keep the rural charm so many have moved to this area to find. A sense of history still lives on in some of Union's older buildings along Main Street.
