John W. Carey, Josiah Green and John Munch were early pioneers who came to Anna in 1883. The village was established in 1858. The village was originally named Carey’s Station, but changed to Anna in honor of Mr. Carey’s daughter. Grain and lumber were the first industries in Anna.

This community is a blend of agriculture and industry. The village of Anna has 1,500 residents and is located in Shelby County, Ohio. It is located near tthe Honda of America Plant. Homes in the area range from modest cape codes to newly built two stories.
